Company Overview
GrowHealth® is a software platform built on GrowBaby®, a maternal wellness program backed by over 15 years of published research. It creates personalized wellness plans for mothers to solve a challenge healthcare has overlooked for years. Pregnancy is hard enough on its own. Too many mothers, especially in underserved communities, never get nutrition guidance that fits their real lives and unique pregnancies, which can impact how they feel for months.
To bring this care to scale, GrowHealth® partnered with Trackmind. As their implementation team, Trackmind used Claude Code to build out the platform during a three-month pilot alongside GrowHealth®'s engineers. Today, the GrowBaby® engine runs on the Claude Platform, using Sonnet and Haiku to deliver personalized support to mothers every day.
With Claude, GrowHealth®:
- Reduced care plan turnaround from 1 to 3 days to near real-time.
- Accelerated test case development by over 80%.
- Cut delivery time for new features by 50 to 75%.
- Sped up bug fixes by 75 to 90% with automatic root cause analysis.
- Improved code quality by 50 to 75% with AI-enhanced PR reviews.
The Challenge
Nutrition isn't the missing science, it's the missing infrastructure. Decades of research have established nutrition as one of the most important factors in maternal and infant health, yet healthcare has never had a scalable way to deliver something truly personal to every mother who needs it. Most providers simply don't have the time or specialized expertise to bring biomarkers, nutrigenomics, health history, dietary patterns, and lifestyle factors together into one individualized plan during a routine visit. The result is a gap between what is possible and what can realistically be delivered, one that falls hardest on underserved communities.
Before Claude, every care plan was built manually, entirely by hand. A provider had to work through an ingredient list based on the mother's stage of pregnancy and her personal needs, one mother at a time, and these plans were built after speaking with her, not during. That created a double burden. First came completing the visit notes, still thinking about everything the mother had just shared. Then came separately building the personalized care plan from scratch, usually later in the day, running on the same energy used all morning. That work consumed most of a provider's time before they could move to the next mother, which capped how many mothers GrowHealth® could serve. This left less room to focus on individual details and added to provider strain in an already demanding role.
Care providers weren't the only ones feeling the squeeze. Behind the scenes, GrowHealth®'s engineering team was racing to keep up too. Every new feature had to be built, tested, and reviewed by hand, which meant the tools providers relied on could sit in a queue for weeks. When something broke, tracking down why could eat up days that nobody had to spare.
"The biggest opportunity isn't replacing work that's already happening, it's making a level of personalized care possible that most providers simply don't have the time, training, or resources to deliver today. Building a nutrition plan that accounts for biomarkers, nutrigenomics, medications, symptoms, dietary preferences, pregnancy stage, social determinants of health, and the latest evidence can take hours and often requires specialized expertise. GrowHealth® synthesizes those inputs into a clinician-ready starting point in minutes. Providers still make the clinical decisions, but they're no longer starting from a blank page. The platform expands access to precision nutrition by making expert-level personalization practical within a routine clinical visit."
The Solution
Trackmind partnered with GrowHealth® to bring Claude into the GrowBaby® engine across four core workflows that mothers rely on. Claude helps build meal plans, write recipes, summarize visit notes, and turn activity tracking into insights a mother can use in her day. These plans go beyond trimester alone, incorporating wellness metrics such as biomarkers, nutrigenomics, and microbiome insights. The result is a care plan built around a fuller picture of a mother's body, so it feels written specifically for her, because it was. A real provider still reviews every plan before it reaches her, using Claude as a thoughtful assistant, never a replacement for the human who genuinely knows her.
"We evaluated many LLMs in the market but kept running into the same wall. Nothing else understood the nuance of each stage of pregnancy or kept up with the sheer volume of plans, recipes, and summaries the system needed every day. Claude stood out right away. Its first drafts felt thoughtful, not generic, which meant providers spent their time refining a plan instead of writing one from nothing. Sonnet and Haiku together gave GrowHealth® the right mix of quality and cost to run all four workflows on one consistent setup."
Keeping maternal health data safe at this scale mattered just as much as making the plans better. Trackmind built privacy in from day one, integrating seamlessly with GrowHealth®'s HIPAA-compliant data handling framework so every mother's information stayed fully protected across the system.
Engineering faced a similar crunch. Trackmind brought in Claude Code to help build GrowHealth® itself, starting with a three-month pilot alongside the engineering team. From there, it became part of everyday work by writing tests, catching bugs, and reviewing code before anything shipped. Features that once sat in a queue for weeks landed in care providers' hands far sooner, and the code powering the platform was cleaner and more reliable from the start.
The Outcome
The double burden on providers, juggling visit notes while manually building care plans from scratch, is exactly what lifted. The biggest change isn't really about speed, it's about what providers get to do with the time they reclaim. Instead of splitting their attention between notes and plan building, providers can be fully present with the mother in front of them, ask the follow-up question, and catch the details she almost didn't mention. Once the visit ends, Claude drafts the starting plan, leaving the provider to review and refine it. This allows GrowHealth®'s team to reach significantly more mothers, bringing evidence-backed, personalized care to the scale it was always meant for.
The same momentum carried over to engineering. Because the team could build, test, and refine features faster, the four core workflows came together and reached providers far sooner than traditional development timelines allow. Bugs that once took days to track down were fixed in a fraction of the time, freeing engineers to spend less time untangling problems and more time building tools to support mothers.
"GrowHealth® gives providers two things that are rarely available together in healthcare: more time with patients and greater confidence in highly personalized care. By generating evidence-informed documentation and individualized nutrition plans, clinicians spend less time behind a keyboard and more time helping mothers make meaningful changes."
What's Next
Trackmind and GrowHealth® are continuing to expand what Claude can do for the platform. The focus remains on making care plans even more personal while giving providers additional tools and support, ensuring every mother who needs this care can access it.
"Every mother deserves expert-level personalized nutrition care. GrowHealth® makes that possible, regardless of who she sees or where she receives care."
