Power BI Developer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Power BI Developer with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in developing business intelligence solutions using Power BI, SSIS, SSRS, DAX, and related technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of data visualization, data modelling, and reporting techniques, along with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions effectively.

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to visualize complex data sets and deliver actionable insights to stakeholders. 
• Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business needs. 
• Develop ETL processes using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources into the data warehouse. 
• Create and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to support reporting and analytics requirements. 
• Develop and maintain SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports for operational and ad-hoc reporting needs. 
• Implement and optimize Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) formulas to perform calculations and manipulate data within Power BI. 
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Power BI reports and dashboards for improved responsiveness and user experience. 
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all reporting solutions. 
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in Power BI, SSIS, SSRS, and related technologies, and provide recommendations for process improvements. 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in developing business intelligence solutions with a focus on Power BI, SSIS, SSRS, and DAX.
• Proficiency in designing and developing interactive and visually appealing Power BI dashboards and reports.
• Strong understanding of data modelling concepts and experience in designing data models for reporting and analytics purposes.
• Solid experience in SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) for ETL development and maintenance.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions.
• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) for building operational and ad-hoc reports.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Microsoft certifications related to Power BI, SQL Server, or other relevant technologies.
• Experience with other data visualization tools such as Tableau, QlikView, or Looker.
• Knowledge of advanced analytics techniques and tools such as R or Python.
• Familiarity with cloud-based BI platforms such as Azure Analytics Services or AWS Quick Sight.
